I need help but also want this post to warn and educate others. I advise not to purchase from Langdale Honda in Valdosta.
I’ll try to keep this short. I purchased a 2019 vehicle with barely 80k miles. The very next day I’m having transmission problems. The dealer kept the truck for a week and stated they changed the transmission fluid but I’ve asked for documentation twice for my records and have not received any. I don’t understand why they would change the fluid when the transmission was flushed three months prior to purchase. I’ve been informed that the warranty may not cover the repairs because of how soon the issue has occurred after purchase and it appears it’s something the dealer should’ve caught during drives. The vehicle starts to jerk after driving for a while so it did not take place during the test drive but the representative who drove my car home had to have experienced it because of the distance from the dealership to my house. At the moment I have a debt of $26k and a truck with a transmission in need or repair that I should not have to pay for. It’s so unfortunate and unprofessional that I have to make a payment on a vehicle that is unsafe to drive.
Lemon laws only apply to new vehicles. There should be an agency to hold businesses accountable and file a formal complaint other than the BBB. Consumers need more protection.
